Tammy's Scrapin Corner - Challenge #47. DT Post

Good Morning everyone!

I hope your week has gone well.  I must thank you all for commenting on my posts and bearing with me.  I do seem to have lost my Mojo where crafting is concerned.  I'm seeing it as a chore instead of enjoyment.  I still enjoy colouring in but not the actual making of the card.  Have any of you any ideas on how to get my mojo back?

Just a small note about my health.... I'm seeing some kind of specialist today who will decide on what kind of treatment I will have regarding my hip.  Its took just over a year to get to this.  They first diagnosed Sciatica and now finally they have found the real reason for my chronic pain due to an MRI scan.  Fingers crossed I will be back to work sometime this year.

I also want to apologise for not checking on your blogs and commenting.  I will be back to normal soon.

Anyway onto this weeks challenge at Tammys's Scrapin Corner Blog .  This week the theme is "Buttons".  So basically any card or image etc which has a button on it will be eligible for the challenge.  Once again I look forward to seeing your creations!

Tammy's Scrapin Corner! Challenge #44. DT Post

Good Morning Bloggers!

Monday already!  Wow time surely goes quickly.  Another start to another week.

I really hope you are all well!.  Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comments on my blog concerning my health.  It is very much appreciated.

Today is the start of another challenge over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner!  The theme for this week is "Manly Card".  So basically anything for a man or something that a gentleman would like.  Now its very rare I make cards for males, for some reason I find it hard to create for them as Im a very girly girl lol.  So this certainly was a challenge for me but I think I did quite well considering lol.

If you would like to become a Guest Designer for us for one of our challenges please when entering your card put GDT after your name.  We also have a Guest Designer joining us for this week.  Please welcome her and go and show her some love on her blog.  Her card is just stunning for this challenge.  Her Bio:

Greetings from the Great White North! My name is Tammy and I live in Calgary, Alberta Canada. I am a happily married WAHM to a lovely three year old boy named Riley who is my greatest inspiration. We also have 2 pound puppies Pickles (a pug) and Tonka ( a bijon). I was so excited to find that I was going to be a guest designer for Tammy's Scrapin' Corner.

I've been a crafter for several years, starting first with scrapbooking, then branching out into cards and now I have jumped on the SMASHbook wagon! I love to create! I'm a big fan of 6x6 paper packs, ribbon and my buttons although I seem to always collect more than I use I am often searching the internet looking for inspiration and new techniques and so you never know when I might stop by your blog to say hello!

Besides crafting I also enjoy traveling, country music, movies and I have a serious Diet Coke addiction!
Please feel free to stop by my blog at http://tampatha.wordpress.com and say hi! I'd love to hear from you.
Now onto my Card for todays challenge:

Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Gwendoline Digi Stamp

Good Evening fellow bloggers!

I hope your day has been going good so far.  Sundays are meant for relaxing which is what Ive been doing and just updating my blog, crafting and doing some much needed blog hopping lol.   I think there are times where all I want to do is craft and times where I feel Ive lost my Mojo but it soon reappears lol.

So onto my Project that Ive created.

This is basically a piece of card stock and by using folds and scoring you can create this gorgeous box card.  Ive never seen it before and thought id have a go.  Its not perfect but I didn't want to not show you as the inside is lovely and the Digi Stamp I just love. You can find the tutorial to this box card here:
Box Card Tutorial

Overview of the project unfolded:

The Image was a new release from Digi Stamps for Joy.Store called Gwendoline, artist: Jen and you can find her in the Teenz section.  Isnt she absolutely Beautiful!  link:
Digi Stamps 4 Joy StoreThe Blog post link you can find here:
New Releases Blog Post for December
You can find the normal blog here:
Digi Stamps 4 Joy Blog

Close up of the Image:

You can leave the box open as it is or you can fold it up and put a ribbon around it to keep it closed but I decided to leave it open so the Digi Image was on show.   I also think it would be easier to do with card stock that isn't too thick for easier folding and scoring but we learn these things as we go along lol.

Inside and other side views of the project:

Materials used:

HunkyDory Card Stock for the Project.
Gwendoline Digi Stamps for Joy Image coloured with Pro Markers
Black lace, Gold Border peel offs, Patterned paper and embellishments are all from my trusty stash

My favourite project for 2012! - Challenge Entry

Good afternoon everyone and a very happy new year for 2013!

I hope it's been a great new start for you all! It's started well for me so far which is a rate occurrence lol. I've finally found out what the problem is with my hip! I've been off sick from work for over a year now and last year was one hell of a year what with finances, pain , appointments and just pure frustration of being unable to move as much as normal. It's amazing how much we take for advantage and last year has taught me a lot. They first though it was sciatica and I had an epidural to help with the pain but it didn't work so had an MRI scan on my hip. I had the doctor ring me Wednesday which was quick, letting me know I have fluid and a cyst forming on my hip joint plus arthritis due to the injury being left so long so finally I have a diagnosis and it can get treated once and for all and maybe later this year I can start leading a normal life!

I've also had a bit if money come through which is a godsend as finances have been bad. So all in all it's not been a bad start to the year so far!

I hope you all have a fantastic start too for this year!

I'd also like to thank you so much for your well wishes and your kind and encouraging comments for my work since I've started my blog , it's been fabulous knowing there's many people out there who enjoy my work. Lastly I'd like to welcome my new followers. Thank you so much for being interested in my blog and following me.

This post is based on just one challenge where you have to find one project which you feel is your favourite for the year 2012.

I've had a good look and it's been a hard choice but here is the photo and link to my favourite project for the whole year:

Main view of project:

I like this project due to the fact it was created just from card stock , patterned paper, embellishments and ribbon. I feel it looks so professional and would look great in any bedroom or dressing table to put your secrets in lol or just valuable or costume and precious jewellery. It can be used for many uses and I also love the vintage/shabby chic feel of it.

Inside showing the hidden Drawers:

Other side views of Project:

The challenge this post will be entered into is:

Paper Craft Star Challenge Blog - Favourite project of 2012

Hope you all have a fabulous day and thank you all so much for sticking by me and taking the time to enjoy my work.

Many hugs
Sharon xxxx
